Aikaterini Lalaouni holds a degree in Psychology from the University of East London and is licensed to practise as a psychologist. Her academic training draws on contemporary scientific approaches to human behaviour and mental health.
As part of her continuing professional development, she specialised in emotional trauma through advanced training at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, gaining an in-depth understanding of traumatic experiences and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
She further developed her knowledge by completing studies in meditation and mindfulness at Aegean College, incorporating contemporary techniques for emotional regulation and psychological resilience into her therapeutic work.
Her professional education also includes a diploma in School Psychology from the University of the Aegean. She places particular emphasis on supporting parents of adolescents who display delinquent or oppositional behaviour or intense reactions. She offers guidance and a safe, supportive environment in which parents can explore the feelings, concerns and guilt that often accompany these difficulties.
Strengthening parents' self-confidence, reducing feelings of helplessness and restoring healthy communication within the family are central elements of her therapeutic work.
Her professional practice is supported by continuing education and clinical supervision, with the aim of providing high-quality, personalised, evidence-based mental health services.
In addition to individual psychotherapy, she facilitates self-awareness groups. The group process offers participants a meaningful opportunity to connect with others and develop a deeper understanding of themselves in a safe and supportive environment. At the same time, group interaction can act as a catalyst for personal development, fostering self-awareness, authentic expression and lasting positive change.
