About Catherine Lalaouni
A Few Words
Catherine Lalaouni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of East London and is a Licensed Psychologist. Her academic training is grounded in contemporary scientific approaches to human behaviour and mental health.
As part of her ongoing professional development, she specialised in Emotional Trauma through advanced training at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, gaining in-depth knowledge of the mechanisms of traumatic experiences and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
She further expanded her expertise by completing studies in Meditation and Mindfulness at Aegean College, integrating modern techniques for emotional regulation and psychological resilience into her therapeutic practice.
Her professional qualifications also include a Diploma in School Psychology from the University of the Aegean. She places particular emphasis on supporting parents of adolescents who exhibit delinquent, oppositional, or highly reactive behaviours, providing guidance as well as a safe and supportive environment in which parents can process the emotions, concerns, and feelings of guilt that often accompany these challenges.
Strengthening parental confidence, alleviating feelings of helplessness, and restoring healthy communication within the family are central pillars of her therapeutic work.
Her professional practice is complemented by continuous education and clinical supervision, ensuring that she provides high-quality, evidence-based, and personalised mental health services.
In addition to individual psychotherapy, she facilitates self-awareness groups. The group process offers participants a meaningful opportunity to connect with others while developing deeper self-understanding within a safe and supportive environment. At the same time, the dynamic nature of group interaction serves as a catalyst for personal growth, fostering greater self-awareness, authentic self-expression, and lasting positive change.
Best Regards
Catherine Lalaouni
